Itemupdating newvalues

Akal *********************************************** If the two values represent the time and date for the same piece of data, it's definitely better to combine them in the same field. Okay, so I tweaked the AJAX Masked Edit Extender control Mask proper to use only "" instead of "" and it works!

It'll simplify reporting, comparisons, etc in the long run. Text is AM However, when I went into debug mode, the problem is these two lines: Text Box txt Time = (Text Box)row. This way there are no missing millisecond if not typed by user.

On such tables if a DELETE command is received, all the fields, excluding the key field, will be iterated as changed, with null value.

All of this is also true on tables that have the two-level behavior enabled, but in case of DELETE commands second-level fields will not be iterated.

The read only displayed the date and time correctly though. for further details look the following thread: Post.aspx?

The issue occurred when the data was being updated back to the database.

Receives an iterator function and invokes it once per each field changed with the last server update.

I think for inserting, I can use the code above since it's done in code behind, but for updating, that's not. You'll need to experiment around a little, I imagine. And by the way, the Delete would generate the same error.

The "Date" field should automatically save " AM" if you don't specify any time. For the time only field, you could store a int/decimal value that would keep track of minutes/seconds (whatever you need). But trying to do the same with Small Date Time will require you to use a date value for sure and there is no way around it.

Remove the time and date fields one at a time to see which is throwing the error (or both? Okay, I tried removing the two fields line 60-63 and 78-81 and I still received the same error. I was recommended to use "char" string to store date and time. suppose, you take any date it does not contains more than 10 character. For time AM (Maximum characters are 7 so define as time char(7). It looks like I was looking at the Footer Row template and that's why it's not able to find it. Find Control("txt Time"); Text Box txt Date = (Text Box)row.

The value of the mtg Date is something like this 4/4/2008 AM with data type Small Date. I accidentally deleted the IF statement that test for the "Insert" button being clicked. Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Check the following which i want to some arabic values and dates and the answerer recommend to use NVARCHAR as datatype. However, I'm not sure what I use for the Edite Template instead of the Footer Row template. I already try removing the Footerrow and just go without it and it's giving me the same error.

May 23, 2017. After causita's comment I used index for the values. It worked for all columns except for KurumLogoPath column. While trying to find that columns index I realized that no index number was related to KurumLogoPath column. Then I realized indices are coming from %# Bind"ColumName" % statements. But FileUpload.

Try properties. ListItem. ContentType. Or try what Quinn said string ctid = properties. AfterProperties"ContentTypeId". ToString; ContentTypesctid;.

You won't be able to do this with databinding. You'll need to do it in codebehind. In the ItemUpdating event, you could calculate the combined value you need and put it in the correct spot in NewValues. I see. So, how do I combined the value into the correct format before adding to the NewValues.
